Milpitas, Calif., and Santa Clara, Calif. -- May, 2008 -- Kineto Wireless, the key innovator and leading supplier of UMA technology, and Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has announced the companies are collaborating on 3G and 2G UMA/GAN handset testing to bring a comprehensive solution to their customers.
The companies will focus on expanding Agilent’s 8960 “real world” UMA/GAN test capabilities to provide a full-featured, non-scripting test solution for mobile operators, handset vendors and platform developers in the UMA/GAN market. The first phase of collaboration will result in a robust 3G/2G UMA/GAN development and engineering validation tool that Kineto will showcase at its UMA Labs in Milpitas, Calif.
Cambridge, UK 22 May 2008 – CSR (LSE: CSR) today announced that Agilent Technologies and Spirent Communications are to join CSR and Motorola in the EGPS Forum, the open industry forum for evaluating and fostering enhanced Global Positioning System (EGPS) technologies.
Working with CSR, Agilent and Spirent have created an essential building block of EGPS: a single system that can simulate both GPS and cellular signals.

This system provides a development and test platform on which to build EGPS technologies.

Both Agilent and Spirent are world leaders in test and measurement systems and by joining the Forum have taken the first steps with CSR to ensure that the test equipment is in place for designers to easily and quickly design and test EGPS products.
