The new videophone is showcased at CeBIT 2007, being held March 15-21 in Hannover, Germany.</p> <p>LG-Nortel will demonstrate how this unique videophone allows individuals to remotely monitor the inside of their homes anywhere, anytime while they are away. In the case of a disturbance such as a fire or an intruder, a sensor installed on the premises transmits a radio signal to the videophone that is then immediately received by the owner as an SMS text message. The owner can then visually check the home via the on-site Wi-Fi camera which sends real-time video to the videophone.
