WIM (WAP Identity Module) is the security module implemented in the SIM card. The security module provides security services for WAP related applications, and allows you to use digital signature. Security features are needed for some WAP services, such as banking services or shopping on a WAP site. SIM cards with security module are provided by the SIM card issuer. (Nokia)
