<p>A two-way, 1900 MHz digital voice, messaging and data service designed as the second generation of cellular that is lower power and uses higher frequency than regular cellular phones. Digital wireless telephone PCS phones can be less expensive and offer higher sound quality. "Digital PCS" is a redundancy, as all PCS are digital, but the phrase is used in marketing to distinguish PCS from Cellular.
