Napster Expands Its Music Subscription Service Across New DoCoMo Mobile Phones in Japan

Napster to Go Now Compatible With 34 Microsoft(R) Windows Media(R)-Enabled DoCoMo Handset Models

LOS ANGELES, CA, Jan 24, 2008 -- Napster (NASDAQ: NAPS) announced today that the company's mobile music subscription service is available to NTT DoCoMo customers through nine new models of the mobile company's line of music-enabled handsets, the FOMA(R)705i series. The Microsoft(R) Windows Media(R)-branded handsets let DoCoMo customers seamlessly download music directly to their handsets or download music and playlists from their PC to their phones.

The Napster-compatible handsets in the FOMA(R)705i series from DoCoMo, Japan's largest wireless carrier, boasts the latest features in mobile listening technology. By integrating the user experience of Microsoft Windows(R) Vista(R) with the latest-addition mobile phones, DoCoMo customers can manage their music from wherever they are.

NTT DoCoMo and Hutch Essar Not to Proceed With i-mode Contract

NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced that the company and Indian mobile operator Hutchison Essar Ltd. ("Hutch") have agreed not to proceed with the contract signed on December 15, 2006 regarding the licensing of the i-mode™ mobile Internet service in India.

DoCoMo and Hutch had been striving to launch i-mode service in India within 2007. Due to the changes in business environment, both companies concluded that it would be difficult to launch i-mode service at this time and agreed not to proceed.

NTT DoCoMo to Sell Exclusive M702iS DOLCE & GABBANA Handset via Internet

NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that the company will begin marketing, for a limited time, an exclusive, special-edition handset, the M702iS DOLCE & GABBANA, developed jointly by Dolce & Gabbana, Motorola and DoCoMo, via DoCoMo's Internet online sales channels.

The handset, which costs 75,000 yen (including tax), will be available for purchase via PC and i-mode™ Japanese-language portals from 8:30 am on April 20, 2007. The special-edition handset will remain on sale until May 31 at 10:30 pm, or while supplies last. This promotion is available to customers only in Japan.

Dolce & Gabbana shops in Japan began accepting orders for the model on March 1.
