Verizon Wireless Once Again Highest Ranked Wireless Company

03/02/2007 -- BASKING RIDGE, NJ — For the sixth consecutive year, Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation’s most reliable wireless network, has been named to Training magazine’s 2007 list of “Top 125 Training Organizations in America.” Recognized for its training and development programs, Verizon Wireless was the highest ranked wireless company on the list, placing No. 4 this year, up from No. 6 last year.

This year, Verizon Wireless was honored for the company's efforts to tie training instruction directly to company objectives. This approach ensures executive buy-in, provides concrete benchmarks to measure success by and helps the company better serve its growing customer base. Verizon Wireless was also recognized for its Training Certification program, which allows sales and customer service representatives to gain certification on the company's line of data products, such as its TXT Messaging, wireless Internet, video, and GPS navigation services.
