Wireline Carrier

Sometimes called the B-Band Cellular carrier, the original cellular licenses that were granted to the LEC in a particular region. Because many cellular licenses have been bought and sold since they were first issued in the 1980s, the name is not necessarily accurate any longer. (Cingular)
