Mobile Data

A wireless service that enables the two-way transmission of information between wireless or landline devices. In a mobile phone, for example, mobile data would use the transceiver in the phone to exchange information between the phone and a data network. The information to be transferred can be in a phone, a PC or PDA connected to the phone. The other end of the connection can be any device that can be contacted through the network, e.g. e-mail server, Internet, another PC. (Motorola)
