Berlin, March 2007 -- Ojom GmbH, a leading creator and global publisher of mobile games, today announced the launch of a new mobile game, Desperado: Duel of Vengeance. Adapted from the hit action movie this is a western style shoot ’em up combined with hand to hand combat in the classic arcade mould.
Desperado is a game that literally explodes onto your mobile instantly transporting you into the dustbowl of a lawless Mexican town ruled by a gang of ruthless bandits. The premise is quite simple, you are the maverick gunslinger El Mariachi and your job is to find the bandit leader - a nasty piece of work by the name of ‘Bucho’ – scoring points along the way by picking of as many bandits as you can.
The game-play is heightened by the fact that El Mariachi has several special moves up his sleeve. You can use brawn as well as bullets to defeat the bandits, the avenging gunslinger is able to perform a wide range of fighting moves that include several kicks and punches. Desperado will keep you on the bus until your next stop just so that you can jump, kick and blast your way through to the final duel with ‘Bucho’.
Betram Pecher, Manager Sales & Operations, explained: “Desperado uses the film as the inspiration for an explosive, action-packed game that will have you on the edge of your seat. The game’s appeal lies in the fact that the formula is very simple it’s a classic arcade style shoot ‘em up, but the hero is able to perform some acrobatic fighting moves to stop his enemies in their tracks.”
Desparado, Dual of Vengeance, will be available from February 2007 on all main Java-enabled handsets and from major mobile operators in a range of European languages.
