Affiliate of Cable & Wireless to Foster Personal Broadband Services

Monaco, January 2008 — Monaco Telecom, a Cable & Wireless affiliate, today announced it is working with Alvarion Ltd. (NASDAQ: ALVR), Cisco® and Nokia (NYSE:NOK) to establish a Center of Excellence on Mobile Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) in the Principality.

This initiative between all four companies will demonstrate the mobility and high-speed features of Mobile WiMAX 802.16e-2005. This new technology will allow customers to enjoy a seamless service and move freely while using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), streaming video and other Internet applications. This capability allows the network to move with the customer – enabling true mobility and improving the experience of the user.

(NASDAQ: ALVR) and ArrayComm LLC, announced today their ongoing technology partnership for integration of ArrayComm’s multi-antenna signal processing software (A-MASTM) into Alvarion’s 4Motion’s Radio Access Network Solutions.

Alvarion is the world’s leading provider of WiMAX and wireless broadband solutions. Its all-IP OPEN WiMAX ecosystem opens the door to complete, best-of-breed networks that optimize all elements of a WiMAX network – from core equipment and service offerings to end-devices and even the end-user’s experience.

Alvarion’s WiMAX platform will leverage ArrayComm’s A-MASTM Advanced Multi-Antenna software in order to offer 2 to 4 times more coverage and spectral efficiency than the WiMAX Forum’sTM baseline profiles, through a unique combination of Beamforming, MIMO and adaptive interference cancellation, while maintaining full profile and standards compliance.

Alvarion, a provider of WiMAX and wireless broadband solutions, announced that it is showcasing 4MotionTM mobile WiMAX high resolution TV in cooperation with NDS, a provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, and MobiTV, a provider of mobile and broadband television and music services. By deploying this type of OPENTM WiMAX solution, mobile WiMAX operators can generate additional revenues and profits under a variety of business models.

4Motion is designed to fully integrate NDS’s digital rights management (DRM) and conditional access (CA) solutions, with MobiTV’s end-to-end mobile WiMAX television services, to enable broadcast of live channels video on demand (VoD), interactive TV, and other value added video applications.
