SanDisk Marks the Opening of Its First Production Plant in China

Shanghai-based Plant to Assemble and Test Flash Memory Chip Packages for Use In Mobile Phones

SHANGHAI, PR CHINA, Sep. 27, 2007 – SanDisk® Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), the world’s largest supplier of flash storage card products, today announced the opening of its production facility in Shanghai, the company’s first in the People’s Republic of China. Based in Zizhu Industrial-based Science Park, SanDisk Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (SDSS) is expected to play a critical role in SanDisk’s worldwide operations as the plant will focus on the assembly and test of its advanced flash memory products for mobile and other consumers in markets worldwide. SanDisk’s worldwide operations function will also reside at the Shanghai facility. The announcement was made today at a press conference held at the facility.

The new SanDisk manufacturing plant produces a flash memory-based chip package called System-in-a-Package (SiP), which is particularly valuable in mobile phones where there is limited space due to their small size.    » read more »

Qualcomm, Teleepoch Enter into a 3G CDMA Subscriber Unit License Agreement

SAN DIEGO — September 27, 2007 — Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, and Teleepoch, Ltd., a Chinese mobile solutions provider, today announced that they have entered into a subscriber unit license agreement. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Teleepoch a worldwide patent license to develop, manufacture and sell CDMA2000® subscriber units. The royalties payable by Teleepoch are at Qualcomm's standard rates.

Ericsson to Host Multimedia Services for Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems in the US

September 18, 2007 -- Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems, a subsidiary of Dobson Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:DCEL) and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), the world's leading telecommunications supplier, today announced they have signed two contracts for hosted multimedia services: AnswerTunes, a ringback tones service and content downloads.

The new service AnswerTunes allows Dobson customers in more than 70 wireless markets to choose from a catalog of thousands of songs to replace the traditional ring heard by callers when they dial a number. On top of that they will also have access to a huge catalogue of content, including ringtones, games, images and video clips to download to their phones.

The contracts are the third and fourth managed services hosting contracts Ericsson has been awarded by Dobson Cellular Systems since 2006. Ericsson also provides Dobson with a hosted prepaid real time charging service including content and game downloads as well as Napster Mobile. Ericsson, Vodafone Netherlands in World-First Deployment of Automatic Data Retention Solution

September 18, 2007 -- Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has signed a turnkey contract with Vodafone Netherlands to deploy the Ericsson Automatic Data Retention Solution (ADRS), bringing the operator in line with a new EU directive. This marks a world-first deployment of the Ericsson ADRS.

Under the contract, Ericsson will deliver a turnkey solution - from systems integration to business support systems - for Vodafone Netherlands' existing network.

The contract highlights Ericsson's leadership in data retention solutions and its ability to deliver end-to-end expertise spanning products and systems integration.

Ericsson's solution enables operators to collect, store and deliver data in accordance with EU directive 2006/24/EC on data retention. Under the directive, operators must store traffic data for up to 24 months. The directive is set to be incorporated into national laws by September 15, 2007, and will eventually become mandatory for all European operators.    » read more »
