Vodafone Germany: The UMTS all-rounder: the 'Sagem my-V85' for prepaid and contract customers is now in the shops

Düsseldorf, 5. April 2006. Vodafone is extending its product portfolio to include the first Sagem UMTS model, the Sagem my-V85. This mobile phone has an impressive range of functions and features and is available to contract customers for as little as EUR 1*. In conjunction with a CallYa Card, the phone costs EUR 199.50**. It also has an integrated MP3 player for enhanced enjoyment of Vodafone Music Downloads. What's more, the Sagem my-V85 has mobile TV capability, videotelephony functions and a megapixel camera.The Sagem my-V85 is the perfect choice for customers who have finally decided to switch to a UMTS phone. It is reasonably priced, attractive, easy to use, functional and covers the entire spectrum of multimedia applications. For example, users have access to the world of mobile TV. Vodafone now has 18 mobile TV channels for UMTS phones, including the Bundesliga Show, popular series, a music programme and 24-hour news. The large display with 262,144 TFT colours delivers optimised image quality. Videoclips and moving images for videotelephony are also possible if both parties to the call have videotelephony-capable UMTS phones. After downloading, the music files are played back on the MP3 player that is integrated in the phone, which comes with a stereo headset. Vodafone Load-A-Game delivers the very latest mobile phone games with impressive graphics and sound - and they can all be played on the Sagem my-V85.

The Sagem my-V85 has plenty of room for music files and games. It has an internal dynamic memory of up to 4 MB, which can be extended with memory cards. The use of microSD/TransFlash memory cards (as accessories) can boost external memory for user data to as much as 512 MB.

Diverse telephony and office functions round off the features of the Sagem my-V85 and make it an attractive new generation mobile phone. An integrated e-mail client can send photos and videoclips to e-mail recipients; and (video-)MMS messages can also be sent to and received from other video MMS-capable phones or e-mail addresses.
