May 5, 2006 -- LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Alltel, owner of America's largest wireless network, announced today that the Motorola E815 mobile phone is available at Alltel stores. Customers can watch live television and listen to commercial-free radio on the Motorola handset."This is a classic clamshell handset that delivers the latest technology at true wireless broadband speeds on Alltel's EVDO network," said Wade McGill, senior vice president of wireless product management for Alltel. "The Motorola E815 is a great addition to our expanding lineup of EVDO-capable handsets."
The Motorola E815 features a 1.3 megapixel camera, Axcess Video Messaging, and MP3 capabilities. The phone has hands-free Bluetooth®1 functionality as well as voice-activated dialing and BREW 2.1.3.
The phone is available through Alltel for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. This discounted price is available to new customers on two-year service agreements as well as to existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans.
Alltel's Axcess TV with more than 25 channels can be downloaded through the Axcess Apps catalog on the Motorola E815. Axcess Radio delivers more than 40 channels of streaming, commercial-free music.
With Axcess Web 2.0, Alltel customers can browse Web sites, send and receive e-mail, play Web games and receive news, weather and sports alerts and directory information on their phones. Axcess Mobile Web can be added to any service plan.
On Alltel's Axcess Broadband EVDO network, customers can use the Motorola E815 to connect to the Web at speeds up to 2.4 Mbps.
