Supports KDDI’s third generation EV-DO service 'CDMA 1X WIN'

Pantech Group is to unveil a new model fashionable handset in Japanese Market.

Pantech Group (www.pantech.co.kr, Byeong-Yeop, Park, vice president) said that it will unveil the third generation slider handset “Pantech-au W61PT” applied new sensitive design as the forth model of KDDI, the second ranking mobile operator in Japan and will be started to supply from the Feb.

‘Pantech-au W61PT’ is a third generation slider handset supporting KDDI’s third EV-DO service, ‘CDMA 1X WIN’. 'WIN' is the brand of KDDI’s EV-DO and ‘W61PT’ supports various third generation services only KDDI’s WIN models has such as ‘EZ NewsFlash’ which provides various information such as news and weather forecast by time and ‘PC site viewer’ that provides the same Internet Website screens as just viewing on a PC and others

'Pantech-au W61PT' features sensitive design with its fashion and accessory as motive. The front side of the slider handset has bulging lozenge pattern being quilted like decoration and is arranged with diamond like menu key to make it look more luxurious. Its backside is processed with special coating to create leather like tender touch and good gripping touch. This model of handset has colors of noble white, elegant pink and midnight black and features thorough sensitive design from its quality to colors.

With thin and small size best suited to carry in a handbag and pocket of shirts (L*W*D: 51*105*14.2mm), this model of handset is targeted to the ladies from twenty four five to forties and the gentlemen from thirties to forties, with its easy carrying and smartness highlighted.

In addition, this model of handset has 200M-pixel autofocus camera, 6cm(2.4”) wide QVGA LCD, external memory (microSD) and music player to allow users enjoy various multimedia features. Using high speed infrared ray communication feature, 'IrSimple', you can have transmission and receiving of photo data and other data between handset and digital camera faster.

And, then in October, 2007, Pantech Group also launched a new model ‘A1407PT’ which featured bone conduction of voice and its influence in Japanese handset market has been extending.
