TAOYUAN, TAIWAN, May 7, 2007 – BenQ today announced its consolidated revenue for the month of April. The company's core business recorded sales of NT$ 10 billion, down 8% month-on-month.

In the first quarter of 2007, BenQ 37 and 42-inch LCD TVs ranked top one and overall LCD TV products ranked top three in the Taiwan market. “Sales of BenQ LCD TV and notebook products grew in April; however, due to the decrease in unit terms of LCD monitors and projectors, total April sales declined month-on-month", according to David Wang, Chief Financial Officer and deputy spokesperson of BenQ Corporation.
