09.03.2007 -- H.U.I. stands for fast as hell, ultra-easy internet and with the most modern and easiest access to the World Wide Web intends to challenge the Austrian internet market dominated by the fixed line to date. H.U.I. convinces with its first rate cost-performance ratio, full cost control, ADSL speed and simple, transparent tariffs. H.U.I. customers can surf fast and mobile with a package volume of 1 GB at only 20 Euro per month - without any additional cost. In addition fast decision makers save the activation fee until 9 April.
At the end of 2006 the Austrian broadband market reached a penetration rate of 42 percent. To date a total of roughly 300,000 mobile data cards have been sold in Austria. Since 1.5 million Austrian homes do not have internet access yet and more than 600,000 still surf the internet via narrow band, there still is a huge growth potential. Apart from an investment of 260 million Eurp into the most modern HSDPA network of Austria, ONE has been offering three new H.U.I. tariff packages for the mobile internet since 23 February.
Mobile broadband at fixed-line prices with full cost control
With three different tariff packages ONE addresses various types of internet users. H.U.I. Start offers a data volume of 250 MB for 10 Euro per month and targets all beginners. H.U.I. with 1 GB for inexpensive 20 Euro per month is the ideal package for all customers who surf the internet and send e-mails on a regular basis (1 GB accommodates about 100,000 text e-mails). H.U.I. PRO with 20 GB for 50 Euro per month has been designed for heavy users. Once 80 percent of the data volume has been used up, the ONE internet user gets a text message. If customers surpass the package volume, they can continue to surf without having to pay any additional fees. Merely the speed of download is reduced to an economical speed of a maximum of 56 kbit/s. When the next invoicing month commences, H.U.I. customers can once again surf the internet, e-mail and download at full speed.
From the beginning of April ONE offers the opportunity to increase the respective data volume with a tariff upgrade by means of additional packages. Customers can increase their data volume with a one-time surcharge of 5 Euro (e.g. for the H.U.I. package from 1 GB to 2 GB). This increase can be made up to five times per invoicing period.
H.U.I. data card and H.U.I. modem
The H.U.I. data card Merlin U740 and the H.U.I. USB modem E220 continues to be available for customers. From mid-March ONE additionally offers the 7.2 mbit/s-ready H.U.I. data card Aircard 875. H.U.I and H.U.I. PRO customers receive a data card and a modem for 0 Euro, H.U.I. Start customers for 99 Euro.
The most modern and fastest HSDPA network in all of Austria
This year and next year ONE invests about 260 million Euro into further rolling out its mobile broadband network. All communities of more than 5,000 inhabitants have already supplied with HSDPA and in a few weeks will be equipped for data transfer rates of up to 7.2 mbit/s. At the end of 2008 90 percent of the Austrian population will use both HSDPA and UMTS. "Customers with H.U.I. have unbeatable arguments to terminate their fixed line once and for all: simplicity, mobile broadband at fixed-line prices, cost control and mobility", explains ONE CCO Michael Fried.
