Colibria, a Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM) leader, is providing a hosted solution for the first MIM service from TeliaSonera. MSN Live Messenger will allow subscribers to chat instantly with friends and colleagues via mobile handsets and PCs. The service will reach more than 11m subscribers across Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden by the end of 2007.
The new service combines the feature-rich experience of internet IM with the personal nature of mobile. Colibria’s MSN Live Messenger solution supports and intuitive, engaging consumer experience built on Colibria’s leading server and client technology, including the award winning mobile clients from Thumbspeed. The immediate and expressive nature of MIM with dialogue history and emoticons gives more engaging messaging than current legacy messaging services.
EMT customers in Estonia were the first the receive the service which went live on March 26th, bringing the popular online internet chat service Microsoft Windows Live Messenger (MSN) to their mobiles.
