Cellular One Puts Its Network on "Fast Track"

Wireless Provider Aggressively Expanding Service Nationwide

Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems – an independent provider of wireless service to rural America – today said its “2007 Network Fast Track” plan will expand its coverage for thousands of the customers it serves.

Under the strategic plan developed and implemented by Cellular One’s Network Quality Assurance Team, by end of the second quarter the company will turn on 75% of its new cell sites that it will build this year.

“Fast Track gives us the ability to hit the ground running in 2007,” said Timothy J. Duffy, Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President. “We will add as many new cell sites in six months as we would have added in nine months. The result is better coverage, fewer dropped calls, increased capacity and an overall enhanced wireless experience sooner for our customers.”

Cellular One, which operates GSM/GPRS/EDGE voice and data networks in 17 states, plans to build approximately 300 new cell sites this year, he said.

“Expanding our network is essential to our continued high level of customer satisfaction,” Duffy said. “We have been very aggressive in the past but this plan signals our commitment to delivering the highest quality wireless service to our customers as quick as possible”.
